About the Department of Thai Traditional Medicine
History
Founded in 2007, the Department of Thai Traditional Medicine aims to give Thai traditional medicine health services by focusing on diagnosis, treatment and dispensation of Thai traditional medicine method with herbs.
Vision
The Department of Thai Traditional Medicine emphasizes graduates’ learning of Thai traditional medicine and alternative medicine with knowledge, skills, professional expertise, research for local wisdom development and health product manufacturing in response to the community and the country.
Mission
1. To produce quality graduates in Thai traditional medicine with knowledge,
capability and professional expertise.
2. To do research which responds to the needs in developing the economy, society and
environment deriving from the foundation of local wisdom problems and research
for Thai and herbal medicine development including health products.
3. To give complete health service by integrating Thai traditional medicine science
with alternative medicine, diagnosing and manufacturing standardized herbal
products.
4. To promote, preserve and distribute Thai local wisdom, arts and culture.
Goals
1. To focus on Thai traditional medicine, Thai intellect and alternative medicine for
producing graduates with professional skills and ethics.
2. To be the research center creating research papers and standardized innovation
which can be transferred for use in the community and the society.
3. To be the center of health service with Thai traditional medicine science and
academic service including the construction of national health system network.
4. To be the sources of manufacturing Thai medicine, herbal medicine and
standardized health products in accordance with the GMP system.
5. To preserve and develop Thai wisdom for sustainable use.
